The IT Manager oversees all technology operations within the hotel to ensure efficient, secure, and reliable IT systems. This includes managing networks, software, hardware, and communication systems that support both guest services and internal operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Systems Management:
Manage and maintain the hotel’s computer systems, servers, POS systems, and network infrastructure.Network & Security:
Ensure data security, backup, and disaster recovery systems are in place. Protect hotel networks from unauthorized access and cyber threats.Technical Support:
Provide prompt technical assistance to hotel staff for all IT-related issues to minimize downtime.Software Administration:
Oversee hotel management systems (PMS), accounting software, reservation platforms, and digital communication tools.Hardware Maintenance:
Monitor, maintain, and upgrade hardware (computers, printers, routers, CCTV systems, etc.) as needed.Vendor Management:
Liaise with IT vendors and service providers to ensure timely delivery of services and system updates.Training & Development:
Train hotel staff on using technology effectively and safely.Innovation & Upgrades:
Recommend and implement technology upgrades that improve guest experience and operational efficiency.Data Management:
Oversee the collection, storage, and analysis of data to support management decisions.
Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
(Professional certifications such as CompTIA, Cisco CCNA, or Microsoft are a plus.)Experience:
Minimum of 3–5 years of IT management experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.Technical Skills:
Knowledge of hotel software (PMS, POS, CRM systems).
Strong understanding of networking, database management, and cybersecurity.
Familiarity with Windows and Linux servers.
Experience with CCTV, access control, and communication systems.
Soft Skills:
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong leadership and communication abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Salary Range:
₦150,000 – ₦250,000 monthly
