The Registered Nurse in an Eye Clinic provides specialized nursing care to patients with eye conditions, assists ophthalmologists during eye examinations and procedures, and ensures high standards of patient care, safety, and comfort.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist ophthalmologists in eye examinations, treatments, and minor surgical procedures.

Administer prescribed medications and eye drops accurately.

Educate patients on eye care, medication usage, and post-treatment instructions.

Prepare and maintain sterile instruments and clinical equipment.

Conduct preliminary vision tests and record patient history.

Monitor patients’ conditions and promptly report any changes to the physician.

Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.

Support infection control and clinic safety protocols.

Provide compassionate and professional care to ensure a positive patient experience.
Qualifications and Skills:

Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license.

Diploma or degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.

Experience in ophthalmology or an eye clinic is an advantage.

Strong attention to detail and good manual dexterity.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Work Environment:
Eye Clinic / Ophthalmology Department – may include outpatient and minor procedure settings.
Location: Enugu.
